Locals and tourists celebrate the event side by side, partaking of the grand amounts of food and wine.
After Salamina, head towards Aegina where you can literally immerse yourself in the epitome of Greek living. Aegina Town is home to the island’s busy port, which is bordered by a small white cathedral, the Church of Saint Nikolas. The harbor is in the shape of a huge amphitheater and is always filled with brightly colored fishing boats and luxury yachts. You’ll feel right at home.
